2026 Spring Collection Notes

Collage of images featuring people, clothing, and logos on a textured background

This capsule draws from the founder's grandfather who was a solitary schoolteacher who educated all grades in a rural southern Taiwanese village. His legacy sparked an investigation into early 20th century Taiwanese school uniforms.

Similar to the United States, Taiwan universities and educational institutions have their own insignia, which inspired the motif on our brass buttons and hoodie replete with a plum blossom framed in braided wheat.

Similar to the classic American sport coat, the navy blazer, worn in prep schools which was templated off of 19th century British royal navy regalia—Taiwanese school uniforms are patterned after Japanese military jacket, the Gakuran. Defined by a mandarin collar and gold buttons.

A personal tribute to the founder's grandfather’s wardrobe, we wanted to create a workwear-inspired shirt that he would wear. Fabricated in classic oxford, our Brushed Selvedge Cotton Oxford Shirt is stylized with a mandarin collar and rounded hem for a relaxed polish. Unlike standard oxford, this one is selvedge and made on antique looms in small batches.
